About the Author

Charlette J. Withers MSN, CNM is a Certified Nurse Midwife with over a decade of experience in women's healthcare. Born and raised in Southern California, she comes from a lineage of granny midwives — her great-grandmother was a healer and midwife in the parishes of Louisiana.
As the founder of Let Us Birth, Charlette is dedicated to ensuring every family has access to informed, empowered, and dignified birth experiences. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and an active member of the California Nurse Midwives Association.
